Job summary

Jago Consultants is recruiting for a Classic Car Paint Sprayer / Fabricator in the Cowfold area of West Sussex. The role runs Monday to Friday, 8am to 5:30pm, with 4 weeks paid holiday.

The successful candidate will paint and fabricate, perform panel beating, and work to exacting standards on classic and vintage cars. Join a family-owned motor engineering company with a long history of repairing classic cars.

Qualifications

• Experience as a painter / fabricator.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work well in a team and meet deadlines.
• Valid UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Paint repaired vehicles.
• Fabrication and panel beating tasks.
• Check paint colour with spray out cards.
• Set oven temperature, air pressure and time for finishes.
• Apply fillers and primers as needed.
• Prepare paint and mix colours.
• Perform paint spray priming and finishing.
• Carry out quality control checks.
• Order paints for parts as needed.

Classic Car Paint Sprayer / Fabricator – Cowfold (West Sussex)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am till 5.30pm

We are delighted to be working with a family owned motor engineering company in the Cowfold area (West Sussex) who are actively seeking to recruit an experienced Bodyshop Technician with a versatile skill set – able to paint / fabricate and experience with panel beating.

My client are a Classic Car specialist and have are proud to have a long history for repairing classic cars and providing high quality classic and vintage car repairs and restorations.

Working with a friendly team, you will need to be ready for a challenge to exceed customer expectations and deliver your best. Attention to detail is crucial.

What this role involves:

• Painting any repaired vehicles
• Experience with fabrication and Panel Beating
• Checking correct paint colour and use of spray out card for all colours
• Setting the oven temperature, air pressure and time
• Applying the appropriate fillers and stoppers
• Paint preparation and mixing
• Roller and paint spray priming
• Completing quality control
• Ordering paint for parts when needed

The skills you will need:

• Being able to work well in a team
• High level of attention to detail
• Previous experience as a Painter / Fabricator
• Use to working to deadlines, and producing quality workmanship
• To have a valid UK driving licence
