Job summary

Octane Recruitment Limited is recruiting for an experienced Vehicle Technician to join a specialist classic and vintage vehicle workshop in Kenilworth. Location: Kenilworth, Warwickshire. Salary up to £35,000 base plus overtime with OTE £40,000, working Monday to Friday 8:30am-5:00pm.

Role involves stripping, inspecting, rebuilding engines, diagnosing faults, and maintaining traditional petrol systems. Requirements include hands-on engine building experience and at least 1 year in an automotive

Qualifications

• Experience in strip, inspect, rebuild and assemble traditional petrol engines.
• Ability to diagnose faults on classic/vintage vehicles and repair mechanical systems.
• Strong knowledge of carburettors, distributor ignition systems, braking and suspension.

Responsibilities

• Strip, inspect, rebuild and assemble traditional petrol engines.
• Diagnose mechanical faults on classic and vintage vehicles.
• Repair and maintain carburettor fuel systems and distributor ignition systems.
• Carry out servicing, maintenance and mechanical repairs.
• Repair traditional braking, suspension, clutch and transmission systems.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults using traditional engineering methods.
• Complete engine rebuilding and restoration work to high-quality standards and agreed timescales.
