Job summary

A leading logistics company in the East Midlands is seeking an HGV Class 1 Driver for ongoing assignments. Candidates must hold a full UK driving licence with C+E entitlement and a valid Driver CPC. Shift patterns are flexible, primarily during the nights from Thursday to Monday, with competitive pay rates. Opportunity for permanent positions available after a successful qualifying period.

LGV C+E Driver

Job description:

The Best Connection Group Ltd are currently recruiting with one of the UK's largest transport operators on behalf of a well-respected snack food manufacturer based in the Beaumont Leys area.

We're looking for HGV Class 1 Drivers to work across Thurs - Mondays working Nights, start between 00:00-05:00

A typical day will consist of two / three drops, all to RDC's and averages around 50 hours a week.

There is no Handball required in this role.

Pay Rates & Shifts
  • £17.50 Weekdays. £18.50 Saturday and £19.50 Sunday
  • Shift starts 00:00-05:00
  • Shifts across end of week / weekend
  • Average shifts are 10 hours per day
Qualifications
  • A full UK driving licence with category C+E entitlement
  • A valid Driver Qualification Card (Driver CPC)
  • A valid Digital Tachograph Card
  • No more than 6 current penalty points
  • No DR, DG, DD, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT99 endorsements with a conviction date within the previous 5 years
Responsibilities of a Delivery Driver
  • Check the vehicle regularly and report any issues
  • Drive safely and follow all traffic laws
  • Use GPS or maps to find the best routes
  • Deliver goods on time, in full and to the correct address
  • Communicate politely with customers
  • Report delays, accidents, or problems to your manager
