Job summary

Moorfield Primary School in Stockport is seeking an inspirational Class Teacher for Year 5 to join our Year 5 team for up to three terms covering a maternity leave. The post may suit an ECT completing induction or an experienced teacher.

• Experience in Year 5 teaching preferred but not essential.
• Ability to plan collaboratively and work as part of a team.

• Plan and teach Year 5 lessons ensuring high standards of pupil progress.
• Collaborate with Year 5 team to share good practice and resources.
• Deliver engaging, creative, practical and investigative learning experiences.
• Contribute to school improvement and participate in planning and assessing with colleagues.

The Governors and Headteacher at Moorfield Primary School are seeking to appoint an inspirational classroom practitioner to work in our Year 5 team for up to three terms covering a maternity leave. This would be an ideal post for an ECT looking to complete two to three terms of their induction period however, the post is also open to experienced teachers.

The successful candidate will join our hardworking, happy, nurturing and inclusive school and share our commitment to achieving the highest possible standards for all our children and a commitment to working as part of a team. The appropriate person will be able to work and plan collaboratively, have excellent knowledge of the national curriculum and show a passion for learning through creative, practical and investigative experiences. We are looking for an inspirational teacher who adds excitement to the children's learning, maximising resources to appeal to all learners.
