The Role
A well-regarded primary school in Preston is looking to appoint a passionate and capable Year 5 Teacher to lead a vibrant upper Key Stage 2 class from September 2025. This is a full-time role with full teaching responsibilities, including planning, delivery, and assessment.
As the class teacher, you'll be supporting pupils as they begin to prepare for the transition to Year 6. You'll foster a love of learning, promote independence, and help build the key academic and personal skills they’ll need moving forward.
What We’re Looking For
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status
- Strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum – ideally with Year 5 experience
- Effective behaviour and classroom management strategies
- A team player with a commitment to inclusive, high-quality education
Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are encouraged to apply and will receive tailored support and mentoring.
Pay & AWR Explained
The daily rate for this role is £120 to £150, depending on experience, for the first 12 weeks.
Following this, the Agency Worker Regulations (AWR) will apply. This means you'll be entitled to the same pay and working conditions as a permanent teacher at the school, including equal salary, working hours, and access to staff facilities and development opportunities.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
