Park Hall Academy in Stoke-on-Trent is seeking a Class Teacher to plan and deliver the curriculum, assess pupil progress, and provide constructive feedback to support learning. The post requires safeguarding responsibilities and collaboration with parents, governors and partner academies.

You will differentiate for pupils with SEN, EAL, disabilities or gifted and talented needs, promote literacy, and manage behaviour within a safe classroom environment.

Aufgaben

• Be responsible for the learning, achievement and progress of all pupils in the class, ensuring equality of opportunity.
• Deliver the curriculum and plan teaching, differentiating for pupils with SEN, EAL, disabilities or gifted and talented needs.
• Use assessment, monitoring and data to set challenging objectives, track progress and plan subsequent lessons.
• Give regular oral and written feedback and encourage pupils to reflect on their progress.
• Establish a safe, purposeful classroom with a consistent framework for discipline and high behaviour expectations.
• Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people, raising concerns through Academy procedures.
• Work with parents/carers, governors, colleagues and external agencies on pupils' achievement and wellbeing.
• Promote high standards of literacy, including spoken English, and teach early reading using systematic synthetic phonics where relevant.
• Set homework and out-of-class activities to consolidate and extend pupils' learning.
• Supervise and deploy teaching assistants where relevant, and contribute to colleagues' professional development.
• Cover for absent colleagues within the remit of the School Teachers' Pay and Conditions Document.
• Lead a subject across the school as subject co-ordinator, including its policy, resources and staff advice, where applicable.
