Job summary

Kernow Learning is seeking an enthusiastic and committed class teacher for Upton Cross Academy in Liskeard, Cornwall. This permanent, part‑time role (Thursdays and Fridays) offers the chance to inspire confidence, curiosity and a love of learning in a caring Trust environment.

The role requires QTS or an equivalent qualification. You will work to deliver high-quality teaching, support pupil wellbeing, and contribute to the wider life of the school within a Forest School and active community.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed class teacher to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's learning and development within a caring and supportive Trust. The successful candidate will inspire confidence, curiosity and a love of learning, while creating a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child is supported to thrive and achieve their potential.

This is a permanent part‑time position, working Thursdays and Fridays each week. We are looking for a candidate who can make a long‑term commitment to these working days and become an integral part of our school community within our nursery and reception class.

Our small school is positioned in the heart of Upton Cross village, on the edge of Bodmin Moor. We are surrounded by a wealth of mining history, farming and glorious countryside including the historic Hurlers Stone Circles.
