At St. Michael’s CE Bamford Primary School, we are seeking to appoint a teacher to cover a maternity leave for the academic year 2025/26. You will need to be a committed, caring teacher, confident to work in Nursery. If you are passionate about delivering top-quality learning and believe that every child can and will succeed, we would welcome your application. Applications from ECTs are also encouraged.

Position Details
  • This is a temporary contract to cover maternity leave, lasting up to 12 months.
Application Process

Applications should be sent to office@stmichaelscebam.rochdale.sch.uk with supporting statements of no more than two A4 pages at 12pt font, outlining your experience. Please submit your application by 11:59pm on Sunday 1st June 2025. The interview process will take place on Tuesday 10th June 2025.

Safeguarding and Additional Information

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All staff and volunteers are expected to share this commitment. Appointment is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.

Essential requirements include the ability to communicate effectively in spoken English and to provide advice to customers and service users.

Applicants must confirm they are not subject to any immigration restrictions that prevent them from working in the UK and can provide proof of their Right to Work if invited for an interview.

The school will conduct an online search for all shortlisted candidates in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education 2024.

If appointed, your contract will be with the school’s governing board, not Rochdale Council.
