Located in the heart of Portsmouth, Arundel Court Primary Academy and Nursery is a three-form entry school with a vibrant Nursery and Inclusion Centre. We are seeking to appoint a Class Teacher on a fixed-term contract for one year starting in September 2025 to cover a period of maternity leave.
As a Class Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering exemplary teaching and learning across all areas of the primary curriculum, ensuring the needs of all pupils are met and enabling pupils to develop and progress in a safe, supportive, and encouraging environment.
The successful candidate will provide a broad, balanced, relevant, and stimulating curriculum that is engaging and motivational to promote continued progress and improved pupil attainment. You will also ensure that teaching assistants are aligned with the aims and outcomes of your teaching to contribute effectively and collaboratively for the benefit of all pupils.
Within the classroom, you will maintain good order, discipline, and respect among pupils, promote understanding of school rules and values, safeguard health and safety, and develop relationships with and between pupils to enhance learning.
