Job summary

Forest View School in Rawmarsh, Rotherham, is seeking a highly motivated Class Teacher for maternity cover (part-time, 4 days a week). You will join a dedicated team in a designated SEN setting, leading teaching assistants and delivering engaging lessons to pupils with complex learning needs.

Experience with SEN is advantageous; you will plan learning, assess progress, and support emotional and social needs while contributing to a positive, inclusive culture across the school and the Nexus Multi

Qualifications

• Knowledge of SEN will be advantageous.
• Experience leading teaching assistants or teams is beneficial.
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging, inclusive lessons.

About our School

Hilltop is a designated 2-19 special day school for pupils with severe and profound and/or multiple learning difficulties.

We are situated across two sites in Rotherham: Hilltop site in Maltby and Hilltop Forest View site in Rawmarsh. Each site is designated to meet pupils' needs via its curriculum offer. Pupils generally attend the Maltby site for key stages 1 and 2 of their education. For key stage 3 to 5 pupils, EHCP plans are reviewed, and the school considers which site is best suited to meet their educational needs.
