Job summary

Twynham Learning is seeking an excellent teacher for Twynham Primary School to start in November, to cover maternity leave. The successful candidate will uphold high standards, manage a class effectively and contribute to the wider life of the school.

You will have Qualified Teacher Status, KS1/KS2 teaching experience, and a track record with pupils with diverse needs. The post offers strong CPD, pension, on-site parking, and a supportive team in a beautiful part of the South Coast.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status required.
  • Experience of classroom teaching in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
  • Experience with pupils with differing educational needs.
  • Ability to relate to children in and out of the classroom.

Responsibilities

  • Teach classes of well-behaved and motivated pupils.
  • Support pastoral and academic progress using school assessment systems.
  • Work with a learning support assistant when needed.
  • Contribute to safeguarding and school policies and the wider life of the school.

About the Post

We are looking for an excellent teacher with high expectations of both themselves and children, fantastic classroom management skills and the desire to contribute fully to the wider life of the school. The role is to start in November and is to cover maternity leave.

The first priority for all teachers is to provide quality first teaching to meet the needs of all children in their class or intervention group. Teachers are responsible for the pastoral and academic progress of each child in their class/group, making use of the school’s systems for assessment and tracking pupil progress.

Responsibilities of the post include the pastoral role of being a class teacher; working with a learning support assistant on occasions; contributing to the fuller life of the school; supporting school policies on behaviour and attendance.
