Job summary

St Bernadette’s RC Primary School in Brighton is seeking a Class Teacher for maternity cover starting January 2027. The role requires a hardworking, enthusiastic practitioner committed to developing and supporting children as learners, with a focus on an inclusive curriculum and vision “Reaching Up, Reaching Out.”

The post is fixed-term until the end of Summer Term 2027 with 52 paid weeks per year (holiday entitlement included). Visits are warmly welcomed.

The Governors wish to appoint an excellent Primary practitioner for maternity cover from January 2027. We are looking for a teacher who is hardworking, enthusiastic and committed to the development and success of children as people, and as learners. We are focused on developing a curriculum that supports children from all backgrounds, to experience and demonstrate our vision ‘Reaching Up, Reaching Out’.

Paid weeks per year:52 (inclusive of holiday entitlement)

Fixed term:Minimum until the end of the Summer Term 2027

Start date: 4 January 2027
