Fixed-term for 1 year

The children, staff and Governors of Malpas Court Primary School are seeking to appoint an excellent classroom practitioner who is enthusiastic and inspirational. Malpas Court is a vibrant school run by a dedicated, hardworking, and committed staff, whose primary concern is to provide high-quality education within a safe and inclusive environment. The position will initially be offered on a fixed-term basis, from September 2025 to August 2026. The successful individual will join a committed team of professionals, working tirelessly to enable each child to reach their full potential.

We are looking for someone who:

1. Is an outstanding practitioner with a secure understanding of Curriculum for Wales.
2. Is a committed individual who enjoys working collaboratively with colleagues to provide the best possible education for the children at Malpas Court Primary School.
3. Is a positive role model with the ability to challenge and empower children and colleagues.
4. Is passionate about providing rich learning opportunities for all children through an inspiring, creative curriculum.
5. Is enthusiastic, motivated, and caring – able to nurture children to achieve their potential.
6. Can embrace community partnerships and actively foster excellent relationships with all stakeholders.
7. Is willing to contribute fully to the life of the school, including participating in extra-curricular activities.

The appointment process will involve an interview with members of the school leadership team and a lesson observation. The Governing Body and Local Authority are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
