This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher, looking to work with a committed team of professionals to develop their skill set and leadership ambitions within their teaching career.
We are seeking to appoint a highly inspirational and highly motivated teacher to work with engaged and well-behaved pupils. It is imperative that we appoint talented members of staff who share our vision of delivering a broad, balanced and exciting curriculum in a bright, attractive and supportive environment. The successful candidate will have high expectations and the knowledge, experience and interpersonal skills to drive and sustain improvement.
The person appointed will possess: excellent curriculum knowledge; high quality teaching skills; good communication and teamwork skills and demonstrate a desire to support continuous school improvement and their own professional development.
The post we have available for September would be particularly suitable for an ambitious candidate with 2 or more years teaching experience, in any area of the primary age range (EYFS, KS1 and KS2) who are looking to widen their experience further. The successful candidate will align themselves closely with the values and ethos of the School and match the high levels of discretionary effort that current staff display.
You will be required to lead a subject, therefore previous experience of leading a subject area would be highly desirable.
The Successful Applicant Will
• Demonstrate effective subject knowledge planning and provision, modelling outstanding practice and disseminating examples of ‘good practice’ for learning and teaching
• lead and have a clear vision for the future development of a none core curriculum area in school
• have a strong knowledge of the teaching of Reading
• monitor, evaluate and review pupils’ progress, behaviour, achievement and attainment and ensure appropriate actions are in place where issues are identified
• have the personality, drive and ambition to inspire, coach and mentor both staff and pupils
• be flexible and passionate about ensuring all staff are motivated to work effectively with pupils to achieve their personal best within your classroom and subject area
• promote the school’s values and engage with parents, carers and the wider community; assisting parents to supporting their children’s learning
• have extremely high expectations of themselves and learners – promoting and modelling behaviour for learning resulting in excellent progress and positive outcomes for every pupil
• have experience of leading a subject and be able to demonstrate having supported whole school improvement
• create an outstanding learning environment
• Provide pastoral care of pupils and support their personal development and well-being.
• have an understanding and commitment to safeguarding and contribute to the school’s child protection procedures
