Job description

We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and dedicated Class Teacher to join the team at Stratford Park Campus.

Position: Class Teacher, Stratford Park Campus

Salary: (M1 - UPS3) + 1 SEN (£30,000 - £46,525) + £2,679

The City of Birmingham School is seeking an ambitious, inspirational, and enthusiastic teacher who can demonstrate excellent classroom practice and contribute to improving outcomes for pupils. We are looking for a Class Teacher with experience in mainstream teaching, a strong understanding of pedagogy, and knowledge of raising expectations and attainment in the classroom.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our journey as a recently rated 'Good' school by Ofsted and make a significant impact on the lives of our young people. We seek someone with the dedication, vision, and drive to support departmental leadership and provide the teaching team with expertise and development opportunities. Candidates must have excellent knowledge of the national curriculum and experience in adapting lessons to meet diverse academic and SEND needs.

Located across multiple campuses in the city, our specialised teams of teachers and support staff work together to support pupils with complex social, emotional needs, and challenging behaviours.

As the Pupil Referral Unit for Birmingham local authority, we support pupils who have been, or are at risk of, permanent exclusion, Children in Care, and those experiencing emotionally based school refusal. Our Behaviour Support Team also offers a traded service to local schools.
