Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a Primary Teacher for a one-term contract at a mainstream primary school in Norwood, SW16. The role starts September 2026 and runs until July 2027, full-time, with a daily rate of 170. Open to NQT's and experienced teachers, with potential extension or permanent appointment based on performance.

You will be responsible for planning, teaching, marking, and attending parents evenings among other duties, within a supportive leadership team.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent recognized in the UK.
• Minimum 1 year teaching experience in the UK.
• Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year.

Responsibilities

• Planning, preparation, and assessment for primary class.
• Deliver lessons and manage classroom during term-time.
• Engage in parents' evenings and school events.

The school is a popular mainstream Primary School with a supportive senior leadership team. The school is going from strength to strength and providing training to all staff.

The position is open to both NQT's and experienced teachers. Depending on performance the school would look at either extending the contract or offering a permanent position.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

• QTS or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year teaching experience in the UK
• Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child related references that cover at least the last two years
