Job summary

The Wings' CE Trust is advertising a full-time Class Teacher position at Atherton St George's CE Primary School, Derby Street, Atherton. The post is temporary until 31 August 2027, with a salary on the MPS spine (£32,916 - £45,352 per annum).

The successful candidate will deliver high-quality teaching, create an inclusive classroom, assess pupil progress, work with the SENDCo, and contribute to school life and safeguarding. QTS is required, with CPD opportunities through the Trust.

Qualifications

  • Deliver high-quality teaching in line with the National Curriculum.
  • Create a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
  • Assess, monitor and record pupil progress effectively and use assessment information to inform future teaching.
  • Work closely with the SENDCo and other professionals to support children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
  • Adapt teaching approaches and resources to ensure pupils with additional needs can access learning and achieve success.
  • Build positive and productive relationships with pupils, parents and carers.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities, events and enrichment opportunities.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and reflective practice.

The Purpose of the role:

As a Class Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging, inclusive and challenging learning experiences that enable all pupils to achieve and make excellent progress. You will create a positive and nurturing classroom environment where children feel valued, supported and inspired to learn.
