An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Class Coordinator to enhance the educational experience of autistic pupils. In this vital role, you will manage a class team, ensuring a supportive and engaging learning environment tailored to each pupil's needs. Collaborating with subject teachers and external professionals, you will deliver personalized lessons and promote the overall development of students. Hours: 37 hours per week (Term-Time Only)
As a class co-ordinator, you will be responsible for the daily management and support of your class group. Working closely with your class team of teaching assistants and link teachers, you will be supporting KS3+ pupils to access their timetabled lessons delivered by subject specialists, delivery of PSHCE and PFA, oversee the daily organisation of the class group and manage and support communication with pupils, parents/carers and other agencies.
As part of a supportive staff team, you will have a passion for improving the lives for autistic pupils and their families. You will have a commitment to supporting with the delivery of lessons and you will engage with a wide range of professionals, including therapists and external agencies to ensure all pupils are reaching their full potential.
Sutherland House School is a non-maintained specialist school for autistic children and young people aged 3-19. Previous experience of working in an additional needs environment is desirable; however, full training and support will be given.
