Location: North London
Salary: £45 - £55 Per Hour (Inside IR35)
Job Type: Permanent | Full-Time

Are you a Class 2A Registered Building Inspector looking for a secure and rewarding role within a supportive local authority team? Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine inspections on a variety of low- to medium-risk residential and minor commercial developments.
  • Provide clear and constructive advice to homeowners, builders, and developers regarding Building Regulations compliance.
  • Assess plans and applications for compliance with current legislation and local policies.
  • Maintain accurate inspection records and contribute to enforcement where necessary.
  • Support the Building Control team in delivering a responsive, customer-focused public service.

Requirements:

  • Registered with the Building Safety Regulator at Class 2A.
  • Previous experience in Building Control, ideally in a public sector or local authority environment.
  • Sound understanding of Building Regulations and relevant construction practices.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-first approach to service delivery.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for site visits across the borough.
