Job summary

Streamline Recruitment is partnering with a leading environmental waste management company to recruit Class 2 HGV/LGV drivers for vacuum tanker work across the region. You will drive Class 2 vacuum tankers, log checks on a tablet, and support sludge/overpumping tasks with full training provided.

This role offers guaranteed 10-hour shifts, potential overtime, and a clear path to long-term stability within a modern fleet and safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Full LGV Class 2 (Cat C) licence with at least 6 months driving experience.
• In-date CPC Card & Digital Tachograph Card.
• Maximum 6 penalty points on licence.
• Good knowledge of Drivers' Hours (Domestic & EU) & Working Time Directive.
• Confident using tablet-based reporting & scheduling.
• Physically fit (lifting hoses, pipes & tanker equipment).
• Professional, polite & able to communicate effectively with clients & the public.

Responsibilities

• Drive Class 2 vacuum tankers to deliver non-potable water & collect sewerage across the region.
• Operate Euro 6 vehicles using GB Domestic hours logbooks.
• Log vehicle checks and tickets via tablet, record defects & report issues.
• Initial duties focused on sludge jobs & overpumping (training provided).
• Guaranteed 10-hour shifts with opportunity for extra hours, nights & weekends.
• Training towards specialist qualifications (jetting, confined spaces, traffic management).
• Potential progression into a permanent role with long-term stability.
