Job summary

Interaction Recruitment is recruiting for a Class 2 Tanker Driver to support drainage and utilities operations in the Midlands. The role involves operating a Class 2 waste LGV and tanker to complete planned maintenance, with responsibilities including upkeep of the vehicle and reporting to the office.

The ideal candidate will have at least one year in drainage, hold a Class 2 HGV licence, and demonstrate strong problem-solving and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience in the drainage industry.
• Holds a Class 2 HGV licence as a minimum requirement.
• Strong problem-solving skills and excellent attention to detail.
• Open to flexible working hours, including early starts and occasional overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Class 2 Waste LGV and tanker to complete pre-planned maintenance works.
• Maintain the tanker and associated equipment to the highest standards.
• Carry out LGV and tanker operations and waste management duties.
• Adhere to all health and safety procedures, following safe working practices for tanker operations.
• Work alongside an assistant, ensuring accurate communication and reporting back to the office.

Class 2 Tanker Driver (Drainage & Utilities)

Salary: £37,000-£45,000 (Average OTE £50,000-£60,000)

Location: Midlands, UK Wide Travel

Hours: Monday–Friday 40 hours per week | Day Shift with Flexible Start & Finish Times (Weekend work + Callout available at enhanced)

Overtime: Available Monday to Friday, Saturday 1.25x Saturday, 2x on Sunday. DOOR TO DOOR PAID Extra £5 per hour for unsociable hours
