Pertemps Bond is hiring a HGV Class 2 Tanker Driver for a permanent role in the Stonehouse/Gloucester area. You will service septic tanks, sewage plants and pumping stations, delivering a professional, customer-focused service using a brand-new tanker vehicle arriving later this year.

The role features 45 hours per week, with overtime, 06:30–07:30 starts, and a competitive £34,000–£38,000 salary, with a brand-new lorry provided. Immediate start available.

Qualifications

• Previous tanker driving experience required.
• Valid Category C (Class 2) HGV licence.
• CPC Qualification Card and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

• Basic wastewater industry knowledge advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Class 2 tanker safely and efficiently across customer sites.
• Empty septic tanks, sewage treatment plants and pumping stations.
• Transport and dispose of waste at authorised tipping facilities.
• Complete daily vehicle inspections and relevant paperwork.
• Ensure compliance with Driver Hours and Tachograph regulations.
• Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
• Work closely with service and installation teams to deliver customer service.
• Maintain a professional image and vehicle care standards.

Pertemps are recruiting for a HGV Class 2 Tanker Driver to join a well-established and expanding wastewater solutions company with over 10 years of industry experience. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced tanker driver seeking a long-term position within a supportive and growing business.

Working across domestic, commercial, and industrial sites, you will be responsible for servicing septic tanks, sewage treatment plants, and pumping stations while delivering a professional and customer-focused service. The business is investing in its fleet, with a brand-new lorry arriving in December, which will be allocated to the successful candidate, making this a standout opportunity for an experienced driver looking for quality equipment and long-term stability.

Key Duties

• Operating a Class 2 tanker safely and efficiently across customer sites.
• Emptying septic tanks, sewage treatment plants, and pumping stations.

What We're Looking For

Working Hours

• 45 hours per week.
• Typical start times between 06:30 and 07:30.
• Average shifts are around 9 hours, depending on workload and route requirements.
• Monday to Friday - overtime available
• Saturday overtime available at premium rate (1.5x).
• Additional overtime opportunities available throughout the year.
