Job summary

Sterling Recruitment Services is recruiting for a Class 2 skip driver and occasional van driver for a growing recycling facility in Middlesbrough. You will deliver and collect skips from commercial customers, perform daily vehicle checks, and ensure paperwork is completed accurately while adhering to road transport and health & safety regulations.

The role requires a valid Class 2 licence, Driver CPC, and Tachograph card. Training is provided for those with RO/RO experience but not essential.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) driving licence is required.
• Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card holders preferred.
• Experience with skip or RO/RO vehicles is beneficial but training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and collect skips to customers around the North East.
• Operate skip vehicles safely and in accordance with company procedures.
• Carry out daily vehicle inspections and paperwork accurately.
• Follow health and safety regulations at all times.

About the Role

The successful person will be responsible for delivering and collecting skips to customers in and around the North East. You will carry out daily vehicle checks, ensure all paperwork is completed accurately, and comply with all road transport and health & safety regulations.

Requirements

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) Driving Licence.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Previous skip or roll-on/roll-off experience is preferred but not essential, as training can be provided.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• A positive attitude with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
