Summary

• Class 2 Shunter/Warehouse Operator
• Location: Melton Mowbray
• Pay: £15.00 per hour (rising to £17.80 per hour once permanent)
• Temp to Perm - £37,024 PA when permanent
• Schedule: Sunday to Thursday, 22:00 to 06:00

Duties:

This is a dual-role position with a 70/30 split between warehouse operations and shunting duties. The warehouse duties will consist of wrapping pallets and individual items and then loading them onto vehicles ready for the morning’s deliveries.

Warehouse Responsibilities:

• Wrapping pallets and individual items securely
• Loading goods onto vehicles for next-day deliveries
• Maintaining a clean and organised workspace

Shunting Responsibilities:

• Moving Class 2 demount vehicles on and off-loading bays
• Swapping boxes between vehicle bodies
• Supporting the upkeep and cleanliness of the fleet
• Full training will be provided for all shunting tasks.

What you’ll need:

• Valid Class 2 (LGV C) licence
• In-date Driver’s CPC card
• In-date Digital Tachograph card
• Excellent attention to detail
• Flexibility to assist with the changing day-to-day needs of the business
