Job summary

phs Group is seeking a Class 2 Service Driver in Huntingdon to join our healthcare waste operations. You will follow planned routes, operate Soft Compaction Vehicles, and ensure safe, compliant handling of pharmaceutical and clinical waste while delivering excellent customer service.

The role offers a 40-hour week, Monday to Friday with no scheduled weekends, and a starting salary around £34,000 plus bonus (OTE £35,200) per year. Flexible start times and ongoing training are provided.

Qualifications

• Category C (Class 2) licence required.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Minimum 12 months' driving experience with relevant licence.
• No more than 6 penalty points and no IN/DD endorsements.
• Strong commitment to safety and compliance.
• Good customer service and communication skills.
• Flexible attitude to products carried and collected as part of the role.

Responsibilities

• Follow planned collection routes using PDA and in-cab technology.
• Operate specialist Soft Compaction Vehicles.
• Collect and transport healthcare waste, including pharmaceutical, hazardous, non-hazardous and clinical waste.
• Emptying and collecting Euro bins containing offensive waste.
• Completing consignment and waste transfer documentation.
• Returning to your allocated depot each day to unload collected waste.
• Delivers outstanding customer service whilst working safely and compliantly.
