Job summary

Manpower (United Kingdom) in Woking is recruiting reliable Class 2 Drivers for a temporary, ongoing role in Woking. You will safely operate Class 2 vehicles on planned routes between distribution centres and delivery locations, with nights and weekends common, and you’ll complete daily vehicle checks.

Hourly rate £21.06–£24.18, 21 days’ annual leave, shift guarantees, PPE provided, pensions and wellbeing support.

Qualifications

• Valid UK C driving licence.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• No more than 6 penalty points and no serious driving endorsements.
• 1 year HGV driving experience within a logistics or distribution environment.
• Strong understanding of UK road transport legislation and vehicle safety.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
• Professional, reliable and customer-focused approach.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class 2 vehicle on planned routes between distribution centres and delivery locations.
• Transport mail, parcels and freight efficiently while meeting delivery schedules.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects in line with company procedures.
• Load and unload vehicles safely while ensuring the security of all goods.
• Complete delivery paperwork and electronic records accurately.
• Work independently while maintaining excellent communication with the wider operations team.
• Follow all road transport legislation, health and safety regulations and company policies.
