Job summary

The role requires a valid HGV Class 2 licence, at least two years of commercial driving experience, and good knowledge of local areas. A customer‑facing approach and good physical health are essential, with flexibility for overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 2 Licence is essential.
• At least 2 years of commercial driving experience.
• Good knowledge of local and surrounding areas.
• Customer-focused experience will underpin delivery of the role.
• Good physical health is required for a physically demanding role.
• Flexible approach to work; willing to overtime and follow safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Delivering/collecting the company’s units and equipment to customers at the right location and time.
• Inspecting units and equipment on collection; record damage or missing items.
• Complete necessary paperwork to avoid disputes (signatures for delivery, collection, damage or loss).
• Drive company vehicles safely and in compliance with transport regulations and tachograph rules.
• Operate lifting equipment safely and ensure axle weights are not exceeded.
• Carry out daily vehicle and equipment checks; report defects to the Foreman/Depot Manager.
