Cameron Clarke Associates t/a talent-finder is seeking a Class 2 HIAB Driver to join our Reading depot. You will complete deliveries and collections safely, operate HIAB with hook attachment, and maintain accurate driver documentation in line with health and safety requirements.

The role requires a valid Class 2 HGV licence and HIAB certificate, together with experience securing loads using ratchet straps. We offer a permanent full-time position with pension and free onsite parking.

Class 2 HIAB Driver | Reading, RG7 4NU | Full Time | £18.00 per hour

The Role

As a Class 2 HIAB Driver, you will be responsible for completing deliveries and collections safely and efficiently, providing a professional service to customers and supporting the wider depot team when required. The role requires a valid HIAB licence with hook attachment, along with experience in safe loading and securing of goods.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete scheduled deliveries and collections, following customer and site-specific instructions
• Provide a professional and reliable service when representing the company at customer sites
• Operate the HIAB safely, including the hook attachment, in line with relevant procedures
• Ensure activities at the depot and customer sites comply with health and safety requirements
• Complete all required delivery and driver documentation accurately, including tachograph records
• Report any delivery issues, discrepancies or other concerns promptly
• Assist with yard duties, including loading, unloading, stock organisation and general depot support when required
• Work collaboratively with the depot team to maintain smooth daily operations and a safe, tidy working environment
• Carry out daily vehicle inspections and report any defects or maintenance requirements
• Keep the vehicle clean, organised and compliant with company and legal requirements
• Ensure loads are secured safely using appropriate techniques, including ratchet straps

Requirements

Essential

• Valid Class 2 HGV licence
• Proven Class 2 driving experience
• Valid HIAB licence with hook attachment
• Experience operating a HIAB safely
• Experience using ratchet straps and securing loads
• Good understanding of relevant transport and health and safety regulations
• Ability to complete driver and delivery documentation accurately
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Ability to reliably commute to Reading, Berkshire, or relocate before starting

Desirable

• Previous experience delivering to customer sites
• Experience working within a depot, yard or logistics environment
