Job summary

Driver Hire Preston is recruiting a Class 2 HGV Driver for a Grimsargh, Preston base. You will transport plant, equipment and site cabins to construction sites across the North West, with HIAB training provided and the potential to move from temporary to permanent.

The role requires a valid Class 2 licence, Driver CPC, Tachograph card and a minimum 12 months of Class 2 driving experience, with a hands-on and flexible approach to yard duties when driving work is quieter.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) HGV licence.
• Minimum 12 months' Class 2 driving experience.
• Valid Driver CPC.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Good knowledge of the North West.

Responsibilities

• Drive a Class 2 HGV to sites across the North West.
• Deliver and collect plant, equipment and site cabins.
• Load/unload and secure loads safely for transport.
• Position site cabins and scaffolding as required.
• Assist with yard duties during quieter periods.
