Job summary

Pertemps Milton Keynes is seeking a professional HGV Class 2 Driver for a temp-to-perm role in Northampton. The position offers £15.34 per hour, Monday to Friday starts at 06:30 with finish between 16:00 and 17:00, eight-week temp-to-perm transition for the right candidate.

You'll deliver materials across Northamptonshire, Cambridgeshire and nearby regions, with MOFFETT training provided. A valid Class 2 licence, Driver CPC card and Tachograph card are required, along with at least two years'

Qualifications

• Hold a Class 2 licence (Cat C) and valid Driver CPC.
• Experience with multi-drop deliveries.
• Strong load securing and transport compliance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Drive a Class 2 curtain-sided vehicle.
• Complete 5–6 deliveries per day across Northamptonshire and nearby regions.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and complete delivery paperwork.
• Ensure loads are secured with ratchet straps.
• Operate MOFFETT after training.
• Provide professional customer service on site.
• Maintain communication with transport team.
• Occasionally deliver into Central London.
