Job summary

SRG Recruitment Ltd is seeking a professional Class 2 driver for a Fareham-based role. The position is a temp-to-perm opportunity with immediate start.

You will safely operate HGV2/LGV2 vehicles, perform multi-drop deliveries, and complete vehicle checks. The role requires accurate paperwork, strong customer service skills, and compliance with health & safety procedures. DBS may be requested.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Category C (Class 2/LGV2) driving licence.
• Driver CPC (DQC) card and Digital Tachograph card mandatory.
• Basic DBS certificate within last 6 months preferred for high-value cargo handling.
• Zero tolerance for major motoring convictions (DD, DR, CD, IN10).

Responsibilities

• Safely operate HGV2/LGV2 vehicles and multi-drop deliveries.
• Deliver palletised/caged goods (e.g., Gatwick/Heathrow area).
• Complete vehicle checks and log defects.
• Maintain accurate delivery paperwork and digital records.
• Provide excellent customer service in a customer-facing role.
• Work to meet delivery schedules and timelines.
• Assist with manual handling and heavy lifting when required.
• Follow health & safety procedures.
