Job summary

People Solutions are recruiting for HGV Class 2 Drivers to join our client's transport operation in Castle Vale and surrounding areas. This is a stable role with excellent earning potential and long-term progression within a well-established logistics operation.

You will operate Category C vehicles, complete loading and unloading duties, and work Monday to Saturday with start times between 7:00am and 11:00am. Full training and ongoing support are provided.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Category C Driving Licence
• CPC Card required
• Digital Tachograph card required
• No more than six penalty points
• No IN/DR/DD/CD endorsements
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Professional and reliable attitude
• Strong road-safety awareness
• Ability to work with a Driver's Mate
• Ability to perform physically demanding duties including handballing

Responsibilities

• Safely operate and drive Category C vessels to and from delivery locations
• Deliver household items and bedroom products to customers' homes with a Driver's Mate
• Complete loading and unloading duties accurately and safely
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects
• Adhere to road traffic laws and company procedures
• Maintain delivery records and paperwork
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers and site staff
• Complete multi-drop deliveries professionally
• Handball goods as part of the delivery process
