Job summary

Restore plc invites applications for a HGV Class 2 Driver - Secure Collection & Manual Handling role in Southampton. You will collect confidential documents, transport them securely and perform hands-on lifting as part of the secure collections team.

The position is 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with start times around 05:30–06:00 and early finishes. A permanent contract, a salary of £38,149.53 per year, and a quarterly bonus up to £500 are offered.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid UK Class 2 driving licence.
• Comfortable with manual handling and physical work.
• Good understanding of tachograph use and driving regs.

Responsibilities

• Drive and collect with care, loading and unloading as required.
• Transport various waste streams securely to destinations.
• Work across client sites, moving paper waste between points.
• Represent Restore Datashred professionally and maintain client relationships.
• Perform daily vehicle checks and complete defect sheets.
• Ensure correct loading and securing of equipment before departure.
• Review job sheets and plan routes efficiently.
• Record collections using the PDA and keep records up to date.
• Complete all paperwork and hand in copies after each shift.
• Keep materials safe during loading, transport and delivery.
