Job summary

Interaction Recruitment Milton Keynes is seeking an HGV Class 2 Driver for contract, full-time work in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire. You will transport goods on designated routes, perform vehicle checks, and complete multiple deliveries per shift with a focus on safety and timeliness.

The role requires a Category C licence with tachograph, CPC, up-to-date DQC, and at least two years of experience. Salary ranges from £18.00 to £27.97 per hour, on-site in Milton Keynes.

Qualifications

• Valid Category C driving licence with a current digital tachograph card.
• Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) for drivers.
• Driver Qualification Card (DQC) up to date.
• Minimum of 2 years experience required.

Responsibilities

• Operate Class 2 heavy goods vehicles to transport goods safely and efficiently.
• Conduct pre-journey and post-journey vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and report defects.
• Complete 2–3 deliveries per shift to Distribution Centres.
• Plan and follow efficient routes in line with delivery schedules and customer requirements.
• Maintain accurate delivery records, including documentation of goods received and delivered.
• Comply with health and safety, traffic and transport legislation.
• Communicate with logistics coordinators and customers to provide updates and resolve issues.
• Ensure vehicle is clean and maintained according to company standards.
• Adhere to company policies on timekeeping, conduct and professionalism.
