Job summary

Driver Hire Torbay is seeking a hands-on HGV Class 2 Driver Operative to support line marking and surface treatment projects across Devon and the South West. You will drive Class 2 vehicles to sites and then contribute to outdoor site work as part of a crew.

The role is not driving-only; it includes loading, equipment prep, and physical site duties. Flexibility for days, nights, weekends, and occasional stays away from home is required.

Qualifications

• This role requires a valid UK Category C (Class 2) driving licence.
• Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card are essential.
• Experience with Class 2 driving and outdoor site work is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive Class 2 HGV vehicles to sites across the South West.
• Support line marking and surface treatment activities on site.
• Load/unload equipment and perform related practical duties.
• Work safely within an experienced crew and follow site procedures.
• Occasional night shifts and staying away from home when required.
