Job summary

Select Recruitment Specialists Ltd. is recruiting a Class 2 HGV Driver for a busy Ely operation. This temp-to-perm role offers 39 hours per week, with a basic rate of £17.00 per hour and an enhanced night rate of £26.20 per hour, plus potential overtime and a company bonus scheme after probation.

You will deliver to builders' merchants and customers, load/unload, perform vehicle checks, and ensure safe, on-time deliveries with excellent customer service. Nights out average 2 per week.

Qualifications

• Must hold a full, valid Class 2 (Category C) licence.
• Minimum 1 year HGV driving experience.
• No more than 3 points on licence; physically fit.
• Willingness to undertake an average of 2 nights out per week.

Responsibilities

• Deliver goods to customers and builders' merchants.
• Load and unload deliveries, including heavy lifting.
• Carry goods into customers' properties (ground floor).
• Complete daily vehicle checks and ensure loads are secure.
• Provide excellent customer service at all times.
• Ensure deliveries and returns are handled safely and accurately.
