Job summary

Talent Finder is recruiting a Class 2 HGV Driver with HIAB for our Birmingham Depot. You will ensure safe and timely deliveries and provide a professional service to customers while supporting the depot team.

Duties include completing deliveries and collections, operating the HIAB hook attachment, managing delivery paperwork, and maintaining health and safety at the depot and on site. A HIAB licence with hook attachment, over one year of driving experience, and load-securing skills are required;

Qualifications

• Has HIAB licence with hook attachment.
• Proven HGV driving experience in similar roles.
• Experience securing loads with ratchet straps.
• Accurate completion of documentation and tachograph records.
• Minimum 1 year of driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Complete scheduled deliveries and collections following customer instructions.
• Provide a professional service at customer sites.
• Follow health and safety procedures at the depot and sites.
• Operate the HIAB hook attachment safely.
• Complete delivery documentation accurately and report issues.
• Maintain clear delivery records with loading details.
• Assist with yard duties: loading, unloading and stock organisation.
• Work with the depot team to maintain a safe and tidy environment.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and report defects or maintenance needs.
• Keep the vehicle clean and organised.
• Complete tachograph records and driver documentation per regulations.
• Maintain compliance with transport and safety regulations.

Class 2 HGV Driver – HIAB | Birmingham | Full Time | £18.00 per hour

The Role

They are seeking an experiencedClass 2 HGV Driverto join their Birmingham Depot. You will be responsible for completing safe and timely deliveries and collections, providing a professional service to customers and supporting the depot team when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete scheduled deliveries and collections, following specific customer and delivery instructions
• Provide a professional and reliable service when attending customer sites
• Follow all health and safety procedures at the depot and customer sites
• Operate the HIAB hook attachment safely
• Complete delivery documentation accurately and report any issues or discrepancies
• Maintain clear records of deliveries, including handling requirements and location-specific details
• Assist with yard duties, including loading, unloading and stock organisation when required
• Work with the depot team to maintain a safe and tidy working environment
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects or maintenance requirements
• Keep the vehicle clean and organised
• Complete tachograph records and all required driver documentation in line with regulations
• Maintain compliance with relevant transport and safety regulations
