Job summary

Driver Hire Oxford is seeking HGV Class 2 drivers for regional multidrop work. You will undertake daily driving duties while complying with legal obligations and Company procedures, including health and safety requirements.

Applicants should hold a Class 2 CPC card and digicard, with at least 1 year of driving experience. Waste management or construction experience is desirable, and strong communication with customers is expected.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Drive HGV Class 2 in multidrop regional work.
• Ensure compliance with drivers hours and Working Time Regulations.
• Ensure vehicle is roadworthy before and during use.
• Maintain communication with traffic office on progress.
• Complete all paperwork accurately.
• Report incidents to Transport Team promptly.
• Work safely and responsibly for Company and customers.

Job description

We are currently seeking to appoint HGV Class 2 drivers for multidrop work regionally. The successful candidate will be required to undertake daily driving duties whilst complying with all legal obligations and Company procedures/instructions as detailed within Driver Inductions, Safe Systems of Work, Risk Assessments and adhere to all associated Health & Safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• To always be in a position to legally undertake their driving duties
• To ensure legal requirements for drivers hours and working time regulations are complied with
• To ensure their vehicle is roadworthy before and during use.
• To maintain communication with the traffic office regarding progress of daily work.
• To complete all relevant paperwork correctly.
• To report any incidents and accidents immediately to the Transport Team.
• To always ensure that work is carried out in a responsible and safe manner with no detriment to the Company or its Customers
