Job summary

TradeChoice Carpet & Flooring is seeking a Class 2 HGV Driver to perform multi-drop deliveries across the UK. You will supervise loading/unloading, verify loads against customer orders, and obtain signatures from customers. Adherence to tachograph rules and safety regulations is essential.

The role includes daily vehicle inspections, occasional warehouse support, and sharing a commitment to reliability, teamwork and safety on every shift.

Qualifications

• Must hold UK Driving Licence (Category C, Full, Clean) and Driver CPC.
• Class 2 HGV Licence required and driving experience in UK.
• Knowledge of tachograph rules and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform multi-drop deliveries in a safe and timely manner.
• Supervise HGV loading and unloading.
• Ensure loads match customer orders and obtain signatures.
• Quality check goods with customers and record delivery details.
• Maintain tachograph compliance and safety standards.
• Keep the HGV clean and prevent damage.
• Report accidents per procedure.
• Complete daily inspection sheet for Operations Manager.
• Support warehouse tasks as needed.

Job description

As a TradeChoice Class 2 HGV Driver, you will:

• Performing multi-drop deliveries in a safe and timely manner
• Supervising the HGVs loading and unloading
• Ensuring the load is accurate and in keeping with customers orders
• Quality checking goods-off with customers and obtain their signature
• Maintaining compliance with tachograph law and safety regulations
• Ensuring cleanliness of the HGV and prevention to damage
• Reporting any accidents immediately in line with the accident reporting procedure
• Completing daily inspection sheet and hand to Operations Manager
• Proactivity regarding the vehicle inspection rota for servicing and MOT
• Providing support in the warehouse as required
• Any other duties as reasonably required.

Your working pattern:

• Monday to Friday
• Between 7am to 4pm
• 60-minute break

Driving in the UK (1 year)

• Highway code and road safety best practices
• HGV & delivery driving
• UK geographical knowledge
• Excellent driving skills and road etiquette (parking, safety, speed awareness, etc.)
• Ability to work to diversions
