Job summary

VANRATH in Antrim is recruiting an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver for a permanent, full-time role within a busy logistics operation. You will support deliveries and collections across Northern Ireland, ensuring accuracy and adherence to safety standards.

Hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30am–6:30pm with a one-hour lunch; salary is circa £33,000 plus a company pension, private medical insurance, life assurance, an employee assistance programme and free on-site parking.

Qualifications

• A current, clean HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.
• A valid Driver CPC qualification.
• Solid experience in multi-drop delivery work.
• Good working knowledge of towns, cities and routes throughout Northern Ireland.
• Manual handling training.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out scheduled deliveries and collections across the region as directed.
• Safely loading and offloading goods, checking everything against the relevant delivery paperwork.
• Completing daily and weekly roadworthiness checks and flagging any issues promptly.
• Staying in regular contact with the transport office throughout your shift, ensuring vehicles are fuelled, signed out and kept in good order.
• Taking real care of every load passing through the depot and while in transit.
• Driving in full accordance with all road traffic legislation while on company business.
• Recording your working hours accurately on the company's time-management system.
• Keeping your vehicle clean and presentable, with a full wash completed at least weekly.
• Following all health and safety, transport and warehouse policies at all times.
• Helping out with other reasonable duties as the operation requires.

The Role

Working as part of the transport team, your day to day will include:
