Overview

GI Group are recruiting class 2 Drivers for a position with our client based in Warwick. The ideal candidate will be placed with our well-established client on a temporary 12 week period between Monday to Friday.

Shifts, Hours and Rates

• Shifts: Monday to Friday
• Start Time: 05:00 am
• Minimum 10 hours guaranteed per shift

• Rates of Pay: Monday to Friday – £17.37 inclusive of holiday pay (PAYE only)

This role is commutable from Daventry, Brackley, Banbury and the surrounding areas.

Role

The Class 2 Driver position is due to start in September and run until Christmas. Handball is to be expected when pushing trolleys and there may be some multi-drop runs (up to 10 per shift). This is a temporary transfer position and training will be provided on the job. The Class 2 driver will need to be confident in completing vehicle checks and any required defects paperwork.

The ideal candidate

• Will hold a Clean Full UK Driving Licence
• Will hold a valid CPC and Tachograph
• Previous HGV work experience is preferred, but not essential
• Will be over 21 years of age for insurance purposes
• Will be flexible and able to remain calm under pressure
• Will have the ability to demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills and an attention to detail is essential
