Job summary

M4 Talent Group - Heathrow is recruiting a Class 2 Cargo Driver for our Colnbrook operation. This temp-to-perm role offers weekday hours and a stable shift pattern, with occasional Ireland deliveries as part of UK routes.

You will be responsible for transporting a range of goods, ensuring safety, regulatory compliance, and good customer service, with potential for long-term career progression within a professional haulage team.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence required.
• Minimum of 2 years' Class 2 driving experience.
• Valid DBS check is essential.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Reliable, punctual and flexible with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Transport a wide range of goods across the UK with occasional Ireland deliveries.
• Safely load, unload and secure goods before transport.
• Conduct daily vehicle safety checks and report defects.
• Complete delivery notes, transport documentation and PODs accurately.
• Plan routes efficiently and adhere to delivery schedules.
• Comply with driver hours, tachograph regulations and transport legislation.
• Communicate with the transport office regarding progress and issues on route.
• Provide professional and courteous service to customers at collection and delivery points.
• Occasionally stay away overnight to meet operational demands.
• Maintain cleanliness and roadworthiness of the vehicle.
