Job summary

Driver Hire Reading are recruiting on behalf of a well-established distribution business in Basingstoke for a reliable Class 2 Driver / Warehouse Operative. This hands-on role blends driving with light warehouse duties and offers variety, stability and genuine long-term prospects.

You will safely deliver to customers, collect returns when required, perform daily vehicle checks and assist with warehouse tasks.

Qualifications

• Class 2 (LGV Cat C) licence required.
• Minimum 1 year experience driving rigid vehicles (26t / 32t).
• Strong team player with a professional, customer-focused attitude.
• Reliable, responsible and safety-conscious.

Responsibilities

• Safe and timely delivery of products to customers.
• Collection of returns where required.
• Daily vehicle checks and basic upkeep.
• Ensuring correct paperwork accompanies every journey.
• Supporting warehouse operations, including picking, loading, and general duties.
