Job Description:

Driver Hire Newcastle & Sunderland is looking to recruit a Category C (Class 2) driver for a client in Newcastle Upon Tyne. The role is on a temp-to-perm basis for the right candidate.

Your daily responsibilities include delivering and collecting plant and materials, which may involve beavertail, tipper, or van/pickup vehicles. You will also maintain and clean your vehicle, load and unload plant and materials, and assist around the yard. This position offers a secure, full-time role within a friendly, hardworking team.

Preferred but not essential:

• Experience with plant loading and strapping
• Experience with counterbalance forklift

Requirements for the role:

• Category C/Class 2 driving entitlement
• Valid CPC Licence
• Valid Digital Tachograph Licence

The pay rate starts from £13.87 per hour (PAYE), with enhanced rates for overtime after 8 hours.
