Job summary

Restore Datashred in South Kirkby is seeking a Class 2 Driver for secure collections. The role combines professional driving with manual handling across client sites, collecting confidential materials and ensuring safe transport for destruction.

You will perform daily vehicle checks, manage route planning, and use a PDA to record activities. Ideal candidates are reliable, with strong communication skills and the ability to work physically and discreetly throughout the day.

Qualifications

• Hold a full UK Class 2 driving licence.
• Confident with manual handling and physically demanding work.
• Good understanding of tachograph use and the Working Time Directive.
• Professional and customer-focused with strong communication skills.
• Able to maintain confidentiality and discretion.
• Reliable, organized, and proactive in getting the job done safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Handle and move heavy sacks of paper and transport to the vehicle.
• Collect and transport a variety of waste streams including confidential paper and IT equipment.
• Work across client sites, transporting paper waste between collection points, including stairs.
• Represent Restore Datashred with professional customer service and positive client relationships.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and complete defect sheets.
• Ensure equipment for the day\'s duties is loaded and secured before leaving the depot.
