Job summary

Pertemps Leicester Industrial is seeking a Class 2 Driver (Category C) for a full-time, temporary ongoing role in Leicester. Pay is £17.31 per hour, increasing to £25.97 after 9.6 hours.

You will deliver goods across the UK, load and unload vehicles, perform daily checks, and handle paperwork with accuracy. A valid Class 2 licence, Driver CPC and tachograph card are required, along with a solid knowledge of UK road networks and reliable time-management.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence.
• Valid Driver CPC qualification.
• Digital tachograph card.
• Good knowledge of UK road networks.
• Physically fit for loading/unloading duties.
• Reliability, professionalism and excellent time‑management skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver goods to retail stores across the UK and complete any required collections.
• Load and unload vehicles in accordance with health and safety procedures.
• Perform daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
• Accurately complete delivery paperwork and electronic PODs.
• Adhere to driver hours, working time directive, and road transport legislation.
• Provide a high standard of customer service at all delivery points.
