Job Advert in Basildon, Essex, is seeking a professional Class 2 Driver to join our manufacturing team. The role is permanent, with a 08:00 to 17:00 Monday to Friday schedule and a pay rate of £17.36 per hour.

You will deliver and collect goods, perform daily vehicle checks, secure loads, and work closely with the transport team while ensuring compliance with transport legislation. A valid HGV Class 2 Licence and Driver CPC are required, along with a clean UK driving licence and the ability to

Qualifications

• HGV Class 2 licence required.
• Driver CPC qualification required.
• Experience in logistics, distribution or supply chain.
• Full UK driving licence with clean record.
• Experience driving in London preferred.
• Physically fit for manual handling.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently deliver and collect goods.
• Complete daily vehicle safety checks and report defects.
• Load and unload vehicles and secure loads within weight limits.
• Complete delivery notes and verification paperwork for accuracy.
• Coordinate with transport team, suppliers and customers.
• Report accidents and near misses per company procedures.
• Comply with drivers' hours and transport regulations.
