Driver Hire Winchester is seeking an experienced Class 2 (Cat C) driver for long-distance palletised freight across the UK. You will operate 18T or 26T curtain-side tail-lift vehicles, perform daily checks, and complete required paperwork while maintaining professional standards.

Role involves Monday to Friday with occasional Saturdays on a rota. CPC and Digi Tacho Card are essential, along with at least 2 years’ Class 2 experience and knowledge of drivers’ hours and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Full UK Class 2 (Category C) licence.
• CPC and Digi Tacho Card.
• Minimum 2 years’ Class 2 driving experience.
• Experience securing and strapping loads.
• Previous experience driving 18T or 26T curtain-side tail-lift vehicles.
• Good knowledge of drivers’ hours and health & safety regulations.
• Ability to work independently and professionally.

Responsabilités

• Long-distance deliveries across the UK.
• Delivering palletised freight to commercial customers.
• Using a pump truck to unload pallets, with some sites providing forklift unloading.
• Driving 18T or 26T curtain-side vehicles with tail lifts.
• Strapping and securing loads safely.
• Completing daily vehicle checks and required paperwork.
• Working professionally and safely at all times.
