Job description

Sharps Bedrooms is the UK’s market leader of Fitted Bedroom and Home Office Furniture with over 700 employees and a network of showrooms across the UK. Our busy Head Office is located in Bilston in the West Midlands. We have a hub facility in Carlisle and we are looking to recruit Class 2 HGV drivers to carry out the delivery and collection of our products in an efficient, professional and competent manner.

Type of Role: Multidrops
Hours per Week: 55
Typical Hours of Work: 05.00 till finish Monday to Friday

Overtime, drivers bonus scheme additional to salary.

As a HGV Driver, you will be responsible for the safety of your vehicle at all times, you will be the ‘Captain of your Ship’. This will mean you will be responsible for carrying out daily checks on your vehicles, reporting any defects or issues with load security. Compliance will also be a big part of your role, ensuring the timely and accurate completion of paperwork, use of tachographs, and adherence to legislation at all times.

Health and Safety is paramount in everything that we do and to be successful you will need to share our passion for safety, have a good working knowledge of procedures, and an awareness of transport legislation, driver hours requirements, and tachograph regulations.

CPC training is fully funded by the Company, and is carried out internally, which means no need to book holidays or complete in your own time plus fully funded CPC card renewal.

We provide uniform, driver tablet, telematics to do your job, and cameras for your safety fitted to the vehicle exterior.
