Job description

Our client have an exciting opportunity for a Class 2 Driver to work with their Transport department based at their Barnsley site and covering deliveries nationwide. Some nights out are required as part of the role and are paid at GBP34 per night with all parking expenses reimbursed. You will join them on a full-time, permanent basis working Monday to Friday, and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of GBP36,388 per annum.

You will not be required to work weekends or on bank holidays.

The Class 2 Driver role:

The role involves delivery of their rigid kitchen range nationwide in their modern fleet of delivery vehicles.

The key responsibilities of their Class 2 Driver will include:

  • Delivering company product nationwide.
  • Prepare the products in the vehicle for offload.
  • Maintaining a high standard of work.
  • Maintaining legal requirements.

To meet the requirements of their Class 2 Driver you must have:

  • A full driving licence with the required vocational entitlement.
  • A valid DCPC.
  • Good verbal communication skills.

As their Class 2 Driver, you will be:

  • Of smart appearance as the position is customer facing.
  • Prepared to spend nights away from home.
  • Able to lift average sized kitchen, bedroom and bathroom units.
  • Willing to train within the transport department.
